Althouh this is slightly off topic, I am registered user on the site and have still not been able to download anything. When clicking on the link the torrent window simply pops up and it says "connecting to peers" - Then the download speed eventually reaches 1kb/sec ...
Any clue as to what I'm doing wrong here? Would like to start downloading.

Did you already download the bit torrent client? It can be found at the link below, and will help download the file to your pc.

Whats your share ratio? It says it in the top right corner.

Yeah, got the client of course. The ratio is 0. Haven't been able to use the site at all.

You have to have a ratio of at least .15 I think. Have you downloaded anything at all yet?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">There's not much I can download with 1kb/sec. Or does the speed increase as I reach a ratio of .15?
